Accommodation detail

Four apartments and four rooms in an ancient and imposing farmhouse and its outbuilding, once a military outpost with a lookout tower dating back to medieval times. The renovation work and the splitting up of the structure into four apartments and four bedrooms with bathroom did not alter its unique architecture, characterised also by small windows on the ground floor. Dominating position, near the road that leads to San Gimignano, with magnificent views of this “city of towers”. Simple furnishings. Wall safe in each apartment. Central heating. Large lawn garden that is equipped and fenced-in (electric gate) with swimming pool (6m x 12m, open 15/05 to 30/09) with sun terrace and magnificent view of San Gimignano. Baby-bed, pets allowed. Breakfast room. Cooking lessons and wine tasting on request (minimum number of people requested).

From Il Poggio you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Towers of San Gimignano, just 2 kms away (bus stop nearby). It is an ideal base to discover Volterra, Certaldo, Siena, Florence, Pisa, Chianti and the Castelfalfi golf club, a few kilometers away.

Apartments are small but comfortable and well equipped: kitchen, heating, safe-box. Our guests can meet in a large TV room, a breakfast room and a large private parking in the estate are at their disposal.
